Art Begets Art
Yesterday, a nice little comment popped up on one of my flickr photos:
“So your picture inspired me to paint…unfortunately, I’m no where near as good of a painter as you are a photographer…”
I think the compliment could have come without the self deprecation because I quite like the resultant painting:

So, thanks to bandman614 for the fine work. I think the original photo really was only a kick start. There’s a fine line between inspiration and copying and he is very much on the right side of it. He managed to make something his own, something original – all he needed was an idea and I’m happy I could supply it.
