Shot Up North, one of Northern England’s premiere photo competitions, held its results night last Thursday and I am pleased to announce that one of my photos was of of 50 selected to be a part of the book and exhibition. This year is the 21st edition of the competition that sees a lot of big names from this part of the country participating.
I rarely enter competitions, so to get a good result in the only one I can remember recently entering is a nice honour. Click my name on the Shot Up North results page to see my image along with the rest of the entrants.

Darby Sawchuk is a Canadian-born photographer who currently resides in Manchester, England. He has travelled to over 40 countries and is always adding more to the list. He creates stock for multiple agencies and is available for assignments.
